Responsibilities

  • Perform confocal microscopy, including combined immunofluorescence, RNA and DNA fluorescent in situ hybridization and live cell imaging techniques.

  • Perform scientific procedures such as cell culture and DNA, RNA and protein extraction to study processes related to the infectious cycle of persistent oncogenic DNA viruses.

  • Collect and organize data, perform data analysis, and prepare technical reports.

  • Maintain detailed records of experiments and their results and prepare the information resulting from these experiments for publication, and for presentations.

Qualifications

  • MD or PhD in a related field is required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a laboratory setting.

  • Experience and knowledge in confocal microscopy and related in situ techniques, particularly related to chromatin biology, DNA damage response, DNA replication and transcription.

  • Effective communication skills working in a team atmosphere.

  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours when experimental needs require it.

  • Ability to perform, operate and communicate effectively in a group, team-oriented working environment.
