What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain analysis pipelines for next generation sequencing data in research and diagnostic environments

  • Monitor data integrity and quality and alert team members when inconsistencies arise

  • Trouble shooting and problem solving code, NGS experiments, and run failure patterns

  • Use data mining tools to develop root cause hypotheses and analysis tools to perform follow-up tests

  • Deep dive analysis of specific sequencing datasets to assess data/experiment quality

  • Develop analysis algorithms for use in creating diagnostic quality data including cutoffs, sensitivity and specificity limits.

  • Maintain software coding standards while growing adoption of shared libraries and scripts across the organization
    What You Need for this Position

More Than 5 Years of experience and knowledge of:

-experience with existing pipelines/algorithms for alignment
-building/validating pipelines

  • design experiments and perform data analysis for others and have demonstrated experience in achieving results with team members in non-biological disciplines

  • experience with managed code and source control concepts

  • NGS- Python- C++- Java- Perl- R- Bash- Algorithms- Pipelines- next generation

Your responsibilities may include: * Analysis of error modes and actionable patterns in large-scale sequencing data sets. * Design of statistical/machine-learning models to infer patterns from sequencing data. * High performance algorithm design and prototyping. * Participation in cancer and rare genetic disease research and methods development communities.
