The Campisi and Melov labs are seeking a talented and mature research scientist to carry out studies on Alzheimers disease and cellular senescence, using cell culture models and bioinformatics. The position represents an exciting opportunity to apply computational skills in single cell biology, and participate in a long-term well-funded project focused on the role of cellular senescence in driving Alzheimers disease. The ideal candidate will have a passion to learn and master computational skills, in the context of single cell biology, and will receive training in the computing language R to solve informatics problems posed in the context of the project.
We are seeking a fast hire, and expect the successful candidate to hit the ground running. The position is open immediately, and will jointly serve programs run by Drs. Melov and Campisi.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
PhD, plus 1+ year post-graduate experience
General background in computational biology, aging mouse models, and single cell biology
Excellent time management skills
Works well in a coordinated team environment
