The Department of Medicine is seeking a Programmer Analyst II for the Integrative Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Core within the UCLA Microbiome Center, situated in the Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases. In this role, the Programmer Analyst will actively engage in clinical and translational research, delving into the intricate connections between clinical phenotypes and biological elements. Through these efforts, novel insights into host-microbiome interactions in health and disease will be uncovered. The primary duties of the Programmer Analyst encompass the programming and refinement of automated data quality control, preprocessing, computational, and analysis pipelines, specifically tailored for extensive biological datasets. A key focus will be on optimizing these processes. Additionally, the Programmer Analyst will contribute to the ongoing enhancement, expansion, application, and documentation of data preprocessing and analytical workflows, ensuring their effectiveness in research endeavors.
Target hourly rate: $36.49-$76.05
