• 24/7 emergency room
• 24/7 laboratory
• 24/7 radiology services
• 24/7 specially equipped medical transport helicopter

LKMC is also proud to be the only hospital in the Florida Keys that offers labor and delivery services. We also offer physical therapy in Key West using a multi-joint strength system, in addition to other innovative systems and equipment for customized rehabilitation.

What Does an Bio Med Tech Do?: As an Bio Med Tech with Lower Keys Medical Center, you will spend your day…

• Perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of general, specialized and/or high-tech medical equipment and systems.

• Perform emergency and routine repair of equipment.

• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills as well as excellent communications with personnel and facility staff.

• Work under minimal supervision from service management.

Which Qualifications Do You Need?: In order to set you up for success, you need the basics of…

• High School diploma or equivalent, plus Associate's Degree in Biomedical Technology or closely related field required.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

• 5 years biomedical equipment experience preferred.

• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
