The Clinical Systems Technician is responsible for supporting and advancing patient care by applying technical skills to healthcare technology to the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) and Clinical Engineering Program and participating BILH entities. Provides technical support for networked clinical devices and systems.

Knowledge of the maintenance, repair, and configuration of medical equipment used in the hospital and ambulatory healthcare environments.
Understanding of electronics, physiology, medical terminology, and networking.
Understanding of the design and use of medical device systems and interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Moderate understanding of HL7 code, data streams, and clinical parameters.
Moderate understanding of middleware, interfaces, and serial devices used for data collection and transmission.
Proficiency in the use of personal computer applications including word processors and spreadsheets and technical drawing software including Microsoft Project and Visio.

Social/Environmental Requirements: Work requires close attention to tasks for work to be accurately completed. Intermittent breaks during the work day do not compromise the work.
