Summary:

The Bindery Operator Specialist will operate our state-of-the-art high speed roll fed saddle stitchers and inline/offline folders. Must work safely at all times to provide our clients with high quality documents in a timely manner.

Schedule:

7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Saturday.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the saddle stitcher and folders.

• Set up/Make Ready machine.

• Check job specifications.

• Perform quality checks.

• Maintain daily production logs.

• Maintain inventory level of consumables.

• Work closely with production, coordinators, other operators, and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Able to perform arithmetic, algebraic and geometric procedures in standard practical applications.

• Able to read and interpret work instructions.

• Ability to use maintenance shop tools and equipment along with interpreting methods and procedures in mechanical drawing and layout work.

• Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written communication, using proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.

• Able to work alone or in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge bindery/finishing equipment including, set up, adjustments, operating procedures, and the corresponding level of skill to perform such tasks.

• Ability to diagnose and solve problems affecting the quality and timeliness of products and services.

• Ability to make corrective adjustments when performance requires the operator to consider the symptoms along with the potential causes and remedies.
