STV's Construction Management Division is a nationwide practice that provides a distinctive range of expertise to clients in both the public and private sectors. Our varied services encompass program, project and construction management, as well as project controls, purchasing and contracting, and fiscal stewardship. Our portfolio within the Construction Management Division includes public works, healthcare, research, commercial, industrial, educational, judicial, institutional, transportation and aviation market sectors.

We currently have an opening for a BIM Specialist to work with our Project Controls Technology Services Group, located in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations by providing BIM and CAD support during construction.

  • Provide BIM-based project controls progress tracking and reporting.

  • Support developing BIM constructability, feasibility and other studies.

  • Assist with clash detection, review of clash reports, and checking model validation on projects summitted to external parties.

  • Perform basic Revit modeling for gaps in geometry and temporary structures of the models and help field team in utilizing BIM with mobile technology.

  • Maintain mappings from BIM to other construction data systems under supervision 4D, 5D BIM

  • Collect and parse equipment data for BIM Facilities Management Integration.

  • Assist with BIM and Technology Services Group R&D initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.

  • Basic Revit and AutoCAD Skills. Exposure to Navisworks and 4D scheduling.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the AEC Industry.

  • Basic knowledge of VDC Workflows on construction project such as the clash coordination, 4D/5D scheduling and other processes.

  • Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

  • Basic understanding of construction scheduling and estimating.

  • Revit and Navisworks API

  • Good communication and organizational skill as well as the ability to work on a team.

  • Able to complete tasks with respect to deadlines.

  • Enjoy performing technical types of tasks.

  • Passion for innovation and utilizing new technology for construction.

What You Will Do Our Los Angeles Office is looking for a talented BIM Project Lead to come join our growing team!!! Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 10 years of experience with BIM, Revit, CAD, and 3D Modeling Project Design experience with at least 5 successfully completed projects on their curriculum vitae. Design experience in Rail, Transit Facilities, Government and other Public Sector Projects. Responsibilities will include: * Support a team of 40 plus people * Work on Large Transportation projects for agencies such as Metro, OCTA, SCRRA, Caltrans and others in the Southern California area * Manage internal resources and budgets * Collaborate with the project teams with the generation of various BIM deliverables to clients, including modeling and detailing for project documents * Assist project managers with model presentation for project teams and client meetings * Manage multi discipline, multi company projects * Work on multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments. * Adhere to project execution plans and workflow criteria Minimum Qualifications * Associates / Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/Engineering, Architectural Technology or equivalent experience * 10 years of experience in BIM, Revit, CAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads or Inroads or equivalent BIM software * BIM Tasks add family editing, expanded modeling skills, understanding of BIM Workflows and project setup * CAD Tasks include CAD content editing, style editing, 3D modeling from base CAD/Vertical application * Responsible for Revit Project Setup * Ability to define Clarity tasks for project * Experience with CAD file integration into a project * Expanded 3D modeling skills including parametric control of 3D solids within a family or block * Hands on experience creating advanced views, including section box 3D, perspective, camera, etc. * Experience with project export techniques, including print setups, Navisworks and DWG Export * Ability to manage and update design model and backgrounds regularly.
