Cerner's Billing Team is one of the few teams that touches every client across all of Cerner in every country. Likewise, we work with associates across the entire globe. Cerner Billing has doubled in size over the last year and continues to grow. We use three types of billing to create 35K invoices generating over $1.5B. Because we interface lines across different modules, we have a "techy" spin as well, requiring members to understand what each process does, how it updates tables and where it retrieves and writes information back to. In addition to our growth, we have initiated many process improvements and continue to strive to improve how we bill our clients. Even though we do not see clients face to face, we are often the first visibility of Cerner that a client receives outside of their salesperson. We have the opportunity to increase cash collection by ensuring invoices are client friendly and working with other internal associates to resolve client issues.
