Billing Specialist- Supervisor

POSITION TITLE: BILLING SUPERVISOR

FLSA: EXEMPT

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Associates Degree in Business, preferred.

• Healthcare experience required

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance Reimbursement, and HCHCP.

• Proficient in computer applications (excel, access, word, and eCW)

• Knowledge of accounts receivable, FQHC, billing practices, regulations, CPT-4 and

• ICD-10 Codes.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Coordinate with Billing Manager all phases of billing for medical and dental services.

• Coordinate with Billing Manager on month-end process

• Troubleshoot eCW issues that pertain to assigned billing groups

• Coordinate with Billing Manager on accounts receivable.

• Assist in Staff/Site training and special projects.

• Manage daily operations of assigned billing group

• In charge of credentialing and serves as the liaison to the credentialing company for all SCHC providers as assigned

• Coordinate data needed for enrollment

• Follow up with providers to ensure forms are completed in a timely manner

• Advise Billing Manager of any potential delays in a provider's enrollment and works with billing staff to resolve issues related to payer enrollment issues

• Process claims for assigned insurances

• Annual employee evaluations, weekly time schedules, and vacation schedules as assigned

• Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General supervision of all Billing Staff
