Billing clients for the good work we do is absolutely critical and right at the center of our firm. Armanino is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Billing Specialist to join our team. The Finance Billing Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing the billing process and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our customers, utilizing the Workday billing system. This position requires an understanding of Workday billing procedures, strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the efficient and accurate processing of invoices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify billing data to ensure completeness and accuracy before invoicing.

  • Update/correct Workday data as needed.

  • Create accurate customer invoices in a timely manner based on client delivery team instructions.

  • Finalize and distribute approved customer invoices.

  • Review and understand customer engagement letters with a focus on scope and billing requirements.

  • Work closely with the client delivery team, including Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners, to ensure accurate and timely billing for customer projects.

  • Based on engagement letter content and WIP, identify required out of scope billing.

  • Provide support in the end-to-end billing process: from WIP review to customer invoice proposals to final invoice distribution.

  • Support the client delivery team by doing research for client billing-related inquiries.

  • Partner with the delivery team to provide timely resolution of client billing concerns.

  • Maintain positive internal relationships through effective communication and meeting commitments.

  • Conduct periodic/quarterly WIP review for any WIP over 90 days that must be billed or written off. Make recommendations for actions to key billing stakeholders.

  • Conduct periodic review of unused prepaid balances to identify opportunities to recognize unused prepaid balances.

  • Review and understand key billing-related reports, both in Workday and Power BI.

  • Prepare and deliver regular billing reports to internal customers.

  • Resolve Workday billing-related issues documented as tickets in the firm's internal ticketing system.

  • Collaborate with the Customer Onboarding team to address customer set up issues in Workday.

  • Collaborate with billing teams in the Business Units to solve problems or provide additional support.

  • Work effectively with other Billing team members to cross-train on select tasks and provide needed coverage during team member absences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Billing Specialist

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to clearly communicate (both in writing and verbally) and work effectively with all levels of management and staff.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Accounting, Finance or Business)

  • Workday billing experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in a professional services industry

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. Compensation Range for this position: $28 - $34/hr. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
