We are experiencing unprecedented growth and are looking to identify a top-notch Billing Manager.
The Billing Manager is to manage a staff comprised of non-exempt employees with the objective of ensuring the minimization of debt while maintaining good customer service. This position will work closely with the Director of Customer Service to ensure receivables and reports are generated and maintained on a timely and accurate basis. Contacts customers to resolve any stage of collection that may exist.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all financial information is updated timely and accurately, meeting all deadlines.
Responsible for the daily processing of completed deliveries.
Process and file all PODs on a daily basis.
Track and collect any documents associated with loads.
Responsible for the daily invoicing of customers and the submittal of those invoices through various sources.
Monitor customer accounts, their credit limits and ensure on time payment of invoices.
Follow up on outstanding invoicing issues for resolution to meet internal and external deadlines and to minimize business and legal risk.
Provide customers with account statements periodically.
Communicate with customers to answer questions.
Resolve disagreements between the company and its creditors.
Negotiate payment arrangements when needed.
Assist in the payroll processing by inputting driver pay rates for each load.
Ability to create working relationships with customers, operations team, company drivers, and outside carriers.
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and find discrepancies.
Provide accurate updates on all outstanding documents to management on a weekly basis or as otherwise required through required by the management.

Required Education and Experience
BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience as billing coordinator or similar position and understanding of relevant laws and best practices desired.
Proficient in MS office and data entry; working knowledge of ERP software is a plus
