The Billing manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Billing Team. You will be involved with hiring and training new team members while coaching and developing the talent of current team members. You will help to ensure that billing is accurate and timely and that billing processes are established and maintained.

Objectives

  • Manage the billing team and establish consistent, open team communication.
  • Develop team members by identifying skills that need improvement and training on new processes.
  • Insure that billing processes are established, updated and followed, and that billing-owned Guru cards are verified.
  • Help resolve escalated situations with customers or billing errors.
  • Establish and encourage clear and positive communication between the Billing Team and other Riskalyze teams.
  • Be a knowledgeable resource to the rest of the company regarding billing issues.
  • Help Billing Team members with their daily operations as needed.
  • Oversee the billing system and remain familiar with any updates.
  • Identify system or procedural weakness and work to solve them.
  • Oversight of all billing including enterprises accounts, Riskalyze Trading accounts and other direct accounts.
  • Work with the Finance team to insure billing system procedures are consistent with financial rules.
  • Oversee the timely close of each financial period.

This position requires 15 hrs of call a week. Education: Current licensure as a California RN. Must have current American Heart Association BLS-HCPC recognition or Greater Sacramento Region. Valid CA Drivers License, access to a reliable auto, with proof of current auto liability insurance. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BS in nursing preferred. Experience: This position requires a minimum of one year experience in acute care or the community setting. Hospice experience is preferred. Knowledge: Must have demonstrated knowledge of the nursing process and community health care. Must have a working knowledge of applicable legal, regulatory, and accrediting standards. Requires knowledge of the concepts of death and dying, utilizing the Hospice philosophy. Requires strong patient assessment skills as well as patient/caregiver education skills. Must possess basic computer literacy knowledge. Skills: Requires excellent organization, prioritization and communication skills, etc. Requires effective English verbal and written communication skills, as well as computer proficiency in Home Care Software (e.g. Horizon) and Microsoft Outlook. Must work well independently, without significant supervision or direction. Competent in the following clinical interventions: central venous line management, pain management, wound management, venipuncture, blood glucose monitoring and management of related medications and diet, coagulation testing and management of related medications and diet, bladder catheter insertion and management.
