Billing-Customer Service Specialist
To provide customer service support as it pertains to billing, contracts and subcontracts to specific branches as assigned. This position is required to work closely with the service team to ensure billings to customers that are consistently clear, accurate and timely. Related tasks include establishing work authorizations, processing contracts, permits, and following up with customers on outstanding receivable balances.
Service and Contract Billing:
Responsible for daily billing including editing daily reports and submitting invoices to customers adhering to customer specific guidelines.
Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and acceptance of POs on a monthly basis.
Follow up with Billing Partners and others in order to resolve customer billing issues and ensure invoices are approved and billed.
Understanding of billing contracts and specialized billing scenarios.
Address and solve customer questions and concerns.
Organize customer billing in an easily understood manner
Reach target monthly invoice goal set by manager
Ensure underbilling is below target set by manager
Other duties as assigned
High school diploma required
Higher education in the Accounting field preferred
3-5 years billing, administrative, and/or bookkeeping experience preferred especially within the electrical construction field
Positive safety attitude and personal integrity - both are non-negotiable
Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced typing skills for data entry
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Detail-oriented with a high capacity for multitasking
Ability to prioritize and organize work to ensure follow-through
Strong desire to actively contribute to a team environment
