Job Title: Billing Clerk

BASIC FUNCTION

Primary Responsibility: The Billing Clerk is responsible for preparation of customer bills to include correcting, completing, summarizing and processing bills. Generate reports from computer in accordance with established procedures.

Daily data entry into computer when needed to assure accuracy of Summary Billing for all products and services sold.

Ensure completion of documentation and coding when needed on charges for a correct and complete billing claim.

Maintain billing file/records in accordance with the established protocol.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate.

  • Knowledge in handling billing and account receivables in a similar setup or related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

One to two years billing experience or related experience.

Experience required in the following areas:

  • Ability to understand and practice bookkeeping and accounting terminology.

  • Ability to operate computers and other office machines.

  • Must be able to take responsibility and work under pressure.

Additional skills required:

  • High level of network systems and troubleshooting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot methodically and efficiently.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.

  • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work in areas which require attention to detail in a varied environment.

  • General office environment. May spend long hours sitting or standing.

  • Some physical effort is required which may involve bending, reaching, stretching, or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 60 pounds

Billing Specialist – Norcross, GACareer opportunity:The Revenue Accounting team within the Corrugated Container Division of WestRock is seeking a Billing/Invoicing Specialist. This individual will report to the Invoicing Supervisor and will work closely with Business Unit plant personnel and external customers. How you will impact WestRock:Timely processing of daily invoicing for multiple facilities using multiple systems.Daily review of shipping reports in preparation of invoice processing. Communicate with Business Unit personnel and establish relationships necessary for timely resolution of errors and exceptions. Identify potential invoice problems prior to issuance and drive the correcting action necessary. Update customer portals with required data to facilitate timely receipt of payment. Distribution of final invoices and responding to inquiries related to invoices. Assist with other areas as required.
