The Billing and Revenue Specialist is a key contributor to the GlobalGiving team. This position reports to the Senior Director of Finance and will help ensure corporate partner agreements are analyzed and invoiced appropriately, offline remittances imported accurately, and related administrative tasks as identified. Primary Responsibilities

  • Receive and analyze existing, new and renewed corporate partner agreements for:
    • ASC 606 Revenue Recognition Compliance
    • Current and future invoicing requirements including supporting records, SQL queries, and prerequisites
    • Update revenue and cost tracking systems
  • Complete monthly and on-demand invoicing cycle including fulfilling corporate partner billing requirements
  • Process offline corporate partner contribution files ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain corporate fund accounts
  • Reconcile corporate gift card purchases and redemptions
  • Support margin and unit cost analysis
  • Support other regular bookkeeping, administrative, and analytical tasks as needed


Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

In addition, the ideal candidate would also have some or all of the following qualifications:

  • Experience with MySQL and/or databases strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Python, JIRA and/or Netsuite a plus


Salary range: $55k to $60k.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and will be filled remotely for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. Once in-office operations can safely resume, this role will be based in GlobalGivings headquarters in Washington, D.C

The Role: Morning Consult is seeking an experienced and energetic Billing Specialist to join the company's growing finance and accounting operation. This role will be a critical player as Morning Consult continues to experience significant growth. Strong candidates will have previous experience with billing, ideally within NetSuite. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting, this role will assist in building critical processes around PO reviews, billing, invoicing, collection, and customer account management. Candidates should be excited to work in a fast-paced environment and motivated by tackling new challenges as they arise and capitalizing on opportunities for process improvement. As a key member of Morning Consult's Finance team, this role will have the opportunity to help scale the financial operations for one of DC's fastest growing startups. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions: * Bill customers in NetSuite, and distribute invoices via email and online portals * Review customer billing terms in Contracts/POs to ensure accurate billing schedules are set up in NetSuite * Perform accounts receivable ageing report and reconciliation * Resolve and respond to customer billing inquiries in a timely manner, answering AR inquiries, setting up customers in the system, resolving disputes and complaints, and issuing customer credit memos, if necessary * Work closely with the Commercial team to resolve accounts receivable issues and maintain customer accounts * Research delinquent accounts and perform collection duties * Facilitate execution of accounts payable by assisting in processing of vendor invoices * Perform month-end close activities including preparation of invoicing reconciliation, cash reconciliations and other tasks * Assist with relevant external audit requests in the area of accounts receivable and cash * Complete other special projects, including drafting the internal control documentation for the accounts receivable process Desired Skills: Note: we view this section as a guide, not a checklist.
