Title: Billing and Cash Application SAP Specialist

Location: Katy, TX

Additional locations include Clayton, MO; Charleston, TN; Cleveland, TN; or McIntosh, AL.

Salary: $83,000 - $120,000 plus additional bonus

Schedule: Hybrid schedule with 2 days work from home available

Focus: In this role you will be the functional Subject Matter Expert in SAP Sales and Distribution modules. You will provide day-to-day guidance on transactions and processes to team across the organization such as sales, tax department, customer service or transportation management. You will be responsible for researching and clearing billing blocks and troubleshooting other related activities.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide day-to-day transaction guidance and support within the SAP Sales and Distribution modules to a team of outsourced billing and cash application resources.

• Conduct root cause analysis, monitoring and clearing billing blocks and cash application queries/unapplied cash and offer system/process solutions to resolve identified issues.

• Act as a liaison between business and SAP IT, providing SAP process and related instructions to achieve required billing objectives.

• Escalation and follow up during month end close process to facilitate all billing blocks and cash applications being resolved prior to the month end period closing.

• Provide step by step system/process guidance to other departments (customer service, sales, billing, tax, pricing, etc.) to identify and address clear billing and cash application issues.

• Use SAP tables to report historical billing to be leveraged for analysis and support of billing disputes and/or billing adjustments.

• Recommend system process improvements and efficiencies, perform documentation maintenance, and testing new functionality.

Billing and Cash Application SAP Specialist Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree*; Accounting, Information Technology or related degree strongly preferred.

• Minimum 5 years related experience in SAP system in the order management modules, including billing, invoice distribution and cash application modules.

• Functional Subject Matter Expert in SAP Sales and Distribution modules.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting transactions and financial statement implications related to direct and intercompany billing and cash application, including international tax concepts such as VAT.

• Ability to bridge the IT and business and accounting processes.

• Knowledge of electronic bank statements, direct debit, IDOC, EDI and/or other integration with banks.
