Job Description:


The Billing Analyst is responsible for preparing timely and accurate billings. This individual is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation and deployment of policies and procedures, as well as streamlining current billing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Completions of monthly billing cycle from gathering and verify billing items to creation of the timely and accurate customer invoices

  • Creation and verification of supporting documentation of the invoice for both internal and customer needs

  • Delivery of invoice and required documentation to customer, answering customer inquiries related to invoices, and following up on payment of the invoice

  • Setting up new contracts in the system specific to contractual details

  • Assist with other sections monthly billing cycle if needed

  • Ensure that invoicing coordinates with balance sheet reporting

  • Download and analyze customer reporting and variance analysis

  • Maintain appropriate customer data in an internal database

  • Ad Hoc reporting

  • Provide analysis on A/R, A/P, Assets, etc

  • Oversee and maintain financial and operation policy and procedures

  • Ad Hoc reporting

  • Various administrative responsibilities including filing, faxing, copying, etc, may be required

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience as an Analyst; Finance background preferre

  • Knowledge of customer contractual contracts

  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel (particularly pivot tables, v-lookup, macros), PowerPoint

  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Must possess strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail

  • Must be able to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize work assignments for efficiency

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to operate independently with a sense of urgency

  • Candidates must be able to pass pre-employment testing (MVR, drug and background)

  • Highly motivated individuals are desired

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (BS) from 4-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
