CRA's Financial Administration Department is currently a team of over 30 professionals based in our Boston, Chicago and London offices. The team includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Financial Planning, Financial Reporting, Payroll, Revenue, Project Setup, Tax, and Treasury.
The Billing Analyst is responsible for providing accurate and timely billing and customer care services for specific Officers in Charge (OICs) and Project Managers (PMs), including creating and editing client invoices through invoice delivery in a professional services environment. This position reports to the Accounts Receivable and Billing Manager.
Prepares draft invoices for delivery, including but not limited to getting approvals, following up, making adjustments, researching data, finalizing drafts, submitting invoices via mail, email or electronic billing system.
Reviews unbilled for assigned OICs to minimize unbilled over 60 days. Identifies potential issues with unbilled and recommends reserves when necessary. Responsible for communicating concerns to AR & Billing Supervisor.
Responsible for obtaining necessary approvals for write offs and processing write offs in a timely manner.
Resolves billing issues and handles ad hoc billing requests.
Education, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle and Sharepoint
2+ years' prior billing experience, ideally in a professional services environment is highly preferred
Strong Excel skills
Flexible, team oriented and deadline-driven
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
