Primary Responsibility:

Support billing and credit processes, including the support and reconciliation of billing interfaces. Activities include regular preparation of various analyses, resolution of processing exceptions, and partnering with IT and Operations in efforts to continually improve billing system processes and controls.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor and analyze billing systems, reconcile interfaces, work with IT and the sites to resolve billing exceptions, and identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.

  • Prepare multiple AR management reports, analyses and reconciliations.

  • Manage the Credit Request system and related processes; including training of users, resolution of exceptions, identification of process and application improvements.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly cash forecasts for use by the Treasury group.

  • Prepare revenue analyses for month end close reviews, participate in the revenue variance meetings, and follow-up on variance issues.

  • Support Sox reporting and controls.

  • Provide support in preparing schedules, analyses, and documentation for the annual audit and quarterly reviews.

  • Provide back-up support for cash applications, including research.

  • Provide reconciliation support and research in support of the collectors.

  • Other duties as requested.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, business, or mathematics required

  • 3 years' experience in an accounting or financial analysis environment

  • Experience in a high volume environment

  • Strong Computer skills including SAP and Microsoft Office; including Excel, Powerpoint, and Word with "expert" level in Excel.

Provides daily, weekly and month end accounting support; including, but not limited to, preparing and booking journal entries, researching and validating transactions, performing monthly reconciliations, and supporting recurring reporting. Provide ad hoc billing and accounting support, as required. Core Responsibilities: Beer Billing and Returns– own daily beer billing and dunnage return processes, ensuring complete and accurate processing, timely responses to distributor inquiries, and timely submission of invoices and returns to distributors * Coordinate and execute daily beer billing process, ensuring completeness and accuracy * Coordinate and execute daily dunnage return process, ensuring completeness and accuracy * Research and resolve shipping and return issues with key process stakeholders to ensure that: * All distributors receive EXCELLENT and TIMELY customer service * Issues are being resolved by process key stakeholders, and recurring issues are flagged to SweetWater management in a timely manner * Responsible for file maintenance for sales, shipping and return documentation to support monthly review and annual audit * Coordinate with warehouse and shipping personnel, as required, to ensure accurate, complete and timely order fulfillment and invoicing * Build rapport with key distributor stakeholders to drive process efficacy and positive customer service experience for all distributors * Provide support for various ad hoc and recurring billing and reporting analyses, as directed by manager Transaction Processing & Support – process daily financial transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy * On an at least weekly basis, reconcile, record and report daily cash transactions including, but not limited, tour receipts, merchandise sales receipts, and event receipts, cash sweeps, payroll cash movements, daily sweep interest * On an at least weekly basis, reconcile, record and report daily sales transaction activity currently flowing through retail merchandise system to ensure revenue and expense matching related to relief of merchandise inventory * Coordinate weekly cash review by saving month-to-date cash transactions to shared drive and notifying team (with full extract being downloaded at month end for file retention) * Responsible for file maintenance to support monthly review and annual audit Accounting Close Support– provide ad hoc and recurring accounting support to meet monthly close deadlines * Perform monthly cash reconciliation(s), coordinating timely follow up on any discrepancies * Perform monthly retail merchandise system reconciliation(s) around transactions and inventory balances to drive process improvement * Coordinate monthly close for AMEX transactions via Concur (sending reminders to team, escalating non-compliance, flagging any issues to SweetWater Management) * Download monthly AMEX transactions from Concur and journal to GP – reconcile GP to AMEX statements to ensure complete and accurate monthly reporting * Generate and book quarterly AMEX accrual JEs * Coordinate FOH and Merch pre-close review * Coordinate FOH and Merch financial reporting with department heads – including, but not limited to P&L preparation, review packet preparation (including invoice support), key metrics reporting * Prepare and enter journal entries, as required by Controller / Assistant Controller * Responsible for applicable file maintenance to support monthly review and annual audit System / Process Support : * Act as SWB process/system Champion for Concur – act as first line of support for process inquiries * Support Lightspeed process improvements (around data timeliness and accuracy) * Own annual vehicle registration renewal processes, including registration transfers and registration of new vehicles * Provide support for various ad hoc data projects (data review / descriptive alignment / data migration / data cleansing) * Provide support for quarterly audit reviews and annual audit process Qualifications: * Entry level, salaried position * Two to five years of relevant business experience preferred * College degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other applicable area of study preferred Job Requirements: * Attention to detail, naturally questions data and process variances and anomalies * Results oriented and deadline-driven approach to task prioritization * Expect extended work week during close to meet monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines (flex time / work from home allowed to meet this requirement) Sweet Water Brewing Atlanta GA
