Salary - $22.64 per hour
SUMMARY: Responsible for processing/editing input to the Utilities computer system.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Not applicable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list represents the types of duties required by the position. Other duties may be assigned as reasonably expected.
Works account cleanup projects as assigned.
Prepare and maintain data reports regarding different aspects of customer accounts including consumption, revenues, and miscellaneous other information.
Analyze account data for billing accuracy by processing reading edits and taking corrective actions as needed. Processing re-reads, hold reports, assisting with fatal work queue as well as pre-billing and billing work queues. Reviews billing reports after running edits for quality control.
Post-billing review by participating in review of billing samples, tracking, and communicating findings with Billing and Accounts Manager. Process account adjustments as needed to correct any billing errors.
Correcting accounts within On-line posting, rerunning edit reports after corrections made. Correcting and performing maintenance on accounts.
Clear, accurate and thorough communication on the daily processes e-mail chain to communicate start and finish of billing processes.
Winter consumption changes.
Prepare, send, and follow up on various customer related letters, place calls to customers as appropriate.
Initiates, monitors, and completes work orders as needed.
Processes all agency pledges on customer accounts.
Process owner consent forms.
Audit accounts by reviewing reports and handling data-clean-up.
Handles sewer repairs on customer accounts.
Communicates with title agencies about past due sewer balances.
Reviews new accounts for completion and accuracy, communicates with non-residential customers regarding account set up as well as residential irrigation account set up.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review average winter consumption calculations.
Process return mail.
Complete special projects as assigned by the Data Processing Supervisor.
Assume additional responsibilities as directed or as delegated.
Input meter sets, exchanges, and removals; complete meter work orders in database as needed as back up to service department.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma, or equivalent education.
Accurate mathematical ability in order to compute consumption and corrective and prorated bills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES PREFERRED:
Knowledge of computer terminal operations.
Ability to interpret computer reports and messages.
Ability to interact effectively with a variety of personalities.
In-depth knowledge of City Ordinance regarding available services and understanding of BOD/BOS backflow and other miscellaneous charges.
