JOB SUMMARY
The bilingual mental health therapist provides counseling through face to face and telehealth means to our Spanish-speaking client population.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing mental health counseling using evidence based and trauma informed approaches of care to adults, children and adolescents
Individualized Service Plan development
Provide crisis intervention as necessary to enhance and restore functioning.
Intake/Orientation of new clients
Complete all necessary intake screenings and Assessment
Maintain working relationships with other social service organizations; help market The Centers' programs
Maintain timely and complete clinical records
Identify service gaps and make appropriate referrals
Perform other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Related Field
Licenses: LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC or MFT
Languages: Must be fluent in Spanish
Experience: Experience with diagnostic assessment and counseling with individuals and groups, experience with diagnostic assessment and counseling with individuals and groups preferred.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of the states of growth and development and family dynamics
Skilled at use of DSM V for diagnosis of mental disorders.
Training and/or experience with use of evidence based practices
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to make sound decisions under stressful conditions
Demonstrated clinical skills and an ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Understand and accept a systems approach to service delivery and agency and program philosophy and goals.
Ability to work in partnership with other team members
