Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer a high volume of calls from patients or their representative, regarding patient bill balances, payment plans, credit card payments, patient pricing, re - billing insurance companies and general customer concerns

  • Process adjustments, refunds, transfer bills, mail returns and perform manual sales

  • Evaluate and respond to all aspects of written billing inquiries, including but not limited to: billing insurances, and updating invoices

  • Research, troubleshoot and resolve complex billing issues and customer complaints, taking all steps to resolve and ensure full resolution

  • Maintain tracking log of all escalated patient correspondence, providing status updates to leadership as needed

  • Ability to perform all aspects of billing customer service as needed

  • May be a certified Medical Coder and / or involved in medical coding

  • Thorough navigation of both Quest Billing System and the web

  • Maintain all Compliance and HIPAA regulations at all times

  • Ability to work in a fast - paced environment

  • Ability to meet quality standards

  • Ability to meet production standards

  • Ability to handle other projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • 1 years of customer service experience

  • Bilingual in Spanish

  • Demonstrated ability in using a computer and Windows PC applications, which includes strong keyboard and navigation skills and learning new computer programs

  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete the Customer Service training classes and demonstrate proficiency of the material

  • Ability to work regularly scheduled shifts within our hours of operation (8:00 am - 7:00 pm) including the training period, where lunches and breaks are scheduled, and work overtime and / or weekends, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Call Center experience

  • Medical Billing experience

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to multi - task duties as well as the ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

  • Ability to remain focused and productive each day though tasks may be repetitive

  • Ability to navigate a computer while on the phone

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, long periods of time working at a computer

  • Service center environment with moderate noise level due to representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activity

Ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service by putting all customers (internal and external) first and displaying: * A healing focus * A selfless heart * A tireless resolve Responsibilities MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Primary and direct point of contact for all Novartis Gilenya Nurses to triage and provide resolution for issues that arise surrounding First Dose Observation visits. * First point of escalation from front line staff if there is a problem with scheduling, document collection, and site staffing issues * Manages all medications list received for GAN patients * Coordinates with NGN, GAN HCP, and GAN medical director to ensure only patients on appropriate medications are scheduled for first dose observations. * Provides coverage for GAN Program Center Support Team Manager (assigned tasks) and for Team Members while on PTO or during vacancies * Builds/develops positive relationships with Novartis Gilenya Nurses, Site Leadership, and other partnering vendors (Lash Group) * Works with the assigned Manager to provide mentoring to front line staff. * Trains front line staff on new work flows and processes to ensure compliance * Maintains log of all incoming calls related to the Novartis Program and ensures proper documentation of the process to resolution * Ensures all calls out of scope are escalated to appropriate leadership and follows up on resolution * Look for and speak to trends related to issues log * Distributes weekly activity report to leadership summarizing issues, trends and open issues * Accurately and in a timely fashion inputs various data and patient information into the Access system * Run and work off of various visit reports from Appointment-Plus Health Care System * Gather, record, and maintain various data as needed for tracking purposes * Prepare Medicare patient files and submit to Charge Entry for billing * Gather patient charts and forward for Clinical QA * Reviews and Processes SRF's * Works with Lash Group to resolve any paperwork and scheduling discrepancies * Updates On-Line Appointment-Plus and schedules Novartis patients using Occusource * Sends out appointment notifications to both Network and Concentra sites * Complete Operational QA * Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: * High School Diploma or equivalent JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: * 2+ years experience of Customer Service experience. * JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: * Excellent customer service experience required. * Good communication with polished telephone skills. * Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment. * Above average organization skills. * Strong typing and computer skills.
