Tech Exchange is a non-profit organization based in the heart of Oakland, serving the greater Bay Area. We are looking for a passionate, creative, and innovative person to join our Home Access Solutions Team! The Home Access Solutions Specialist will help identify and support community members home access needs. The specialist will stay current on available Internet options, Tech Exchanges computer solutions, and support the organizations digital skills resource development. She/He will alongside a fast-growing and dynamic home access solutions team. The specialist will work with schools and community partners to provide home access solutions to students and community members. The candidate will be people-oriented, with an interest in technology, particularly as it applies to enable and educate our community in the quest to become more digitally literate and empowered. The Home Access Solutions Specialist will report to the Director of Programs.


The Home Access Solutions Specialist is a key member of the Home Access Solutions team and supports all aspects of incoming inquiries and targeted outreach to support community members with home technology access. The ideal candidate is skilled at working independently and as part of a team; and is able to demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and attention to detail. Candidates must be able to professionally communicate over the telephone, email, and in-person with partners, clients, and staff.

Responsibilities & duties

  • Works with the Director of Programs and communications team with implementing effective communication strategies
  • Stays informed about the organization's objectives, home access programs, and available digital resources
  • Leads ongoing partnerships with schools and community organizations
  • Directly supports community members with home access needs by providing computers, internet, and digital skills solutions.
  • Stays informed on the latest affordable internet resources and aids clients with finding a service that best suits their needs.
  • Supports responding to external and internal communications inquiries (emails, texting, calling, responding to voicemails)
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaker required
  • At least two years relevant professional experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Experience with Google Applications

VIEW JOBS 9/29/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-12-28T00:00 State License 3 to 5 Years of Experience Required Position Summary: The Fetal Medicine Program Coordinator serves in a navigation role and directs care to the patients referred to the Fetal Treatment Center (FTC) Oakland. The Coordinator has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of pregnancy complications and/or congenital anomalies, the major treatment modalities, symptom management, and patient education. Under general supervision of the Manager of the FTC, the coordinator works independently to organize the clinical care for women referred to the FTC. The Coordinator utilizes a high level of clinical knowledge to screen patient referrals, triage telephone calls and emails from patients/families; review outside medical records, coordinate patient evaluations, perform duties consistent with follow up care for patients as requested by the FTC providers, ensure efficient patient care flow, act as the liaison between referring service, FTC SF, outpatient administrators and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care for patients and their families, and assist in the direction of care. The Fetal Coordinator assists in the implementation of patient care standards and practices, works collaboratively with FTC Physicians to coordinate patient care based on standards and Care Pathways for specific fetal diagnoses and works on assigned quality projects and collects data for the fetal database. The Coordinator works with management to assist in optimizing the use of electronic medical records and maintaining thorough documentation in the system. The Fetal Coordinator utilizes an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care with adherence to National Patient Safety Goals set forth by regulatory requirements. The Fetal Coordinator works as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team of Perinatologists, Neonatology, Cardiologists, Surgeons, Radiologists, Clinic Staff, Fellow, and all other ancillary departments, as appropriate, to ensure a high quality, coordinated, and satisfying experience for the patient. Position Requirements: Minimum Education: Master's Degree required (Nursing, Case Management, Public Health or related field) Minimum Experience: Three (3) or more years of recent experience in fetal medicine, neonatal/pediatric intensive care or high risk perinatal required. One (1) year of case management experience, preferred License Required: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of California (if RN). Certification Required: Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) training (or within 6 months of hire) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work with a diverse group of Pediatric subspecialists, Perinatologists, and Obstetricians required. Excellent organizational/project management skills required. Fluency in Spanish, preferred. Billing/authorization experience, preferred. Data system design and management experience, preferred. Experience with quality improvement systems, such as Lean, preferred. Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to work with families Technical Knowledge: Competence with computer systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with EMR use required (EPIC preferred) Physical Requirements: Sit: Up to 6 hours per day Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours per day Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours per day Reach: Up to 6 hours per day Repetitive Use of Upper Extremities: Up to 6 hours per day Lift/Push/Pull: 25 pounds, over 25 pounds with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction.
