We also offer products/procedures discounts and provide uniforms reimbursement. This position is for 4 days per week (Monday through Friday), 10 hours per day in General Dermatology . Candidates for this position must be bilingual (Spanish/English), possess great time management and organizational skills; be motivated, committed, and dependable team players who are able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Summary of responsibilities: Able to set up patients in an exam room, review their medical history, explain procedures and consent patient for procedures, often in Spanish. Able to set-up for all procedures with proper instruments and forms to be completed.

Assist physician while in exam room with procedures, such as excisions, draw up lidocaine syringes and administer lidocaine injections and IM injections. Able to perform wound dressings and give post op instructions to patients and inform patients of biopsy results, often in Spanish. Able to complete 90% of patient charting, fill out lab forms and requisition forms correctly.

Record all biopsies, cultures performed, and lab worked requested in correct log books. Clean, package and sterilize instruments. Maintains patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA protocols.

Knowledgeable about OSHA protocols. Other tasks as assigned. Requirements: Current MA certification preferred, but will consider years of experience in lieu of a certification.
