POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

Open: May 24, 2024 Close: Until all positions are filled

First Screening will be June 3rd, with continued hiring as needed through the summer

POSITION: Bilingual K-8 Teacher Pool

SCHEDULE: 2024 - 2025 School Year

SALARY: Based on the 2024 - 2025 Teacher Salary Schedule

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate (Elem Ed K-8) (pending certification will be considered if all requirements have been met and waiting for certificate to be issued)

• Must Bilingual/Biliterate (Spanish/English)

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree

• Knowledge of Balanced Literacy or willingness to learn

• Willingness to participate in sheltered training such as Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD)

• Ability and willingness to work toward improving student achievement based on state and national standards, school improvement plan, and all other state requirements

• Ability and willingness to participate in required trainings and professional development opportunities

• Demonstrate a core belief system that matches the guiding principles and vision/mission of the district and be willing to operate accordingly

• Willingness to work with a system that allows for peer collaboration and student intervention within the work day

• Willingness to implement best practice strategies for student learning and interventions

• Willingness to participate collaboratively with staff members for the purpose of improving student learning including cross grade level and grade level partners

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required but would be useful to the position)

• Previous successful classroom teaching experience or successful student teaching experience in a Bilingual classroom setting
