Overview
Stellar is seeking to hire a Human Resources Specialist who will provide support for Stellar's field labor groups with recruiting and onboarding efforts. The HR Specialist enjoys the challenge of balancing multiple responsibilities, has a sense of urgency without sacrificing detail, as well as a dedication to deadlines and effective follow up. The HR Specialist effectively interacts with a diverse group of employee candidates as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a varied workload. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with our diverse employee population, and be knowledgeable of roles and skills needed in Mechanical, Refrigeration, Thermal, and Electrical trades. Regular travel to job site locations nationwide will be required to interview and select local candidates to staff ahead of larger projects.
Responsibilities
Screen and identify candidates for jobs in Stellar's Mechanical, Refrigeration, Thermal, and Electrical trades
Schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers
Send onboarding information to new hires, including new hire paperwork
Process background and drug screen requests
Ensure compliance with Stellar new hire standards, including I9 and driving documentation
Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations
Create various reports and assist with research and/or special projects
Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
Update and manage job descriptions for field personnel
Assist with recruiting efforts including:
Posting employment ads as needed
Performing initial interviews to determine candidate's skill level
Coordinating and scheduling final interviews with Field Services Management
Maintaining a database of previous employees, including re-hire eligibility, performance rating, etc., and contacting them as needed to fill positions
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years administrative/human resources experience or trade-specific experience with a human resources component (interviewing, selection, etc.)
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical trades
Ability for regular travel to project sites nationwide
Knowledge of UKG HR software a plus but not required
