The HR Generalist is responsible for a wide variety of HR functions, including employee relations, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, training and development, performance management, recruiting and employee communication on HR programs. This role serves as a HR Business Partner in consulting and supporting various business departments' operations. This position works closely with organizational leadership in a consulting manner, serving as an employee advocate, and providing guidance and coaching to assist in facilitating improvements in the employee experience and in the professional development of leaders. This person builds and maintains strong relationships with cross-functional partners, helping to achieve company initiatives and drive business results.

  • Provides bilingual support and translation for HR related functions, including but not limited to employee relations, leaves of absence, benefits, and occupational health matters.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for recruiting and other business purposes

  • Fulfills staffing needs for non-exempt job openings; sources and identifies talent, conducts job interviews and fills open positions in a timely manner.

  • Provides consultation and support to department business partners and associates on all HR-related issues. Serves as the primary point of contact for the assigned operations team.

  • Advises business leaders on all aspects of organizational effectiveness including hiring, performance management, employee relations and policy interpretation.

  • Evaluates organizational climate and issues, assists with employee communications and facilitates improvements in the employee experience.

  • Conducts thorough investigations, maintains proper documentation, partners with leadership on outcome, and ensures timely resolution and follow-up on employee relations issues.

  • Provides guidance and assistance in the disciplinary action process; makes recommendations on the appropriate level of corrective action.

  • Assist management with writing effective and accurate job descriptions, requisition process and approval, salary administration, etc.

  • Serves as lead on various HR projects, such as documenting policies and procedures, updating HR manuals and identifying/implementing process improvements.

  • Collaborates with corporate business partners and assists in the management, administration and communication of employee benefits, such as health and welfare benefit plans, policies on time away from work and leave of absences including FMLA/OFLA, Workers' Compensation, and Paid Time Off (PTO).

  • Promotes safety in the workplace. Conducts assessment of incidents in partnership with the Safety Team and directs reporting procedures, mandatory drug/alcohol testing and investigation process.

  • Utilizes various systems/tools to track HR issues, identify trends, measure progress and analyze data. Compiles information and generates reports.

  • Helps drive the execution and periodic analysis of on-going HR processes and programs, such as bonus programs, performance reviews, HR audits and recognition programs.

  • Ensures legal compliance with all Federal and State regulations. Upholds consistency in the interpretation and administration of policies. Educates business partners on employment laws.

  • Assist in assessing, creating, conducting and measuring associate training.

  • Coordinate and or act as the HR sponsor for roundtables, town halls and/or employee committees.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bilingual Required (English/Spanish)

  • A Bachelor`s (BA or BS) in Human Resource Management or related field (e.g. Business, Organizational Communication, Industrial Psychology) preferred or equivalent. SHRM-CP/PHR preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in HR generalist / business partner capacity with expertise in employee relations.

  • Previous HR experience in supporting large diverse business operations preferred.

  • Professional maturity and demeanor, strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities, drive results and work independently.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships.

  • Proven project management skills and leadership capabilities.

  • Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations and legal compliance.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with HR software systems.

  • Professionalism to work with confidential information.

Job Description The Alexa Data Services organization under the Alexa organization is looking for a motivated and talented Senior HR Program Manager based in Boston, MA. You will be responsible for driving HR programs and processes across the global organization. The PM will work closely with the Sr. HR Leader, region/country HRBPs and multiple business stakeholders and will be responsible for the full-cycle program and process management including starting with concept, design, planning, implementation, launch, ending with post-mortem, measurement and continuous improvement. The PM will drive people programs and processes within the Alexa Data Services organization and will collaborate with key support partners in the HR centers of expertise including compensation, learning and development, talent management and performance management. Core immediate focus areas are time and attendance systems, employee engagement, onboarding, talent management and learning & development. Additional projects may include leading projects in Diversity and Inclusion and HR systems.
