Bilingual Finance Clerk

AutoZone's Finance Clerk aids in the planning, execution, administering of various administrative duties, including heavy interaction with accounts payable/receivable and vendors within the Distribution Center and providing a WOW! Customer Service experience. The Finance Clerk will perform daily assigned duties and remain compliant with company procedures in accordance to AutoZone expectations by Living the Pledge every day.

• Handles the accounts payable functions for the distribution center including submitting invoices for processing after getting proper coding and authorizations, reviewing vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

• Handles AR function by creating BOLs, collecting and logging checks and following up on collecting past due AR balances

• Maintains DC Accrual file - keys submitted invoices and expense estimates, researches aged outstanding invoices, follows up with DC Managers to book estimates as necessary

• Reconciles P-Card Report and collects supporting documentation

• Administration and tracking of gift cards

• Maintains office supplies and ordering

• Supports vendors including setting up to process payments, researching any issues

• Receive and distribute mail, log and deposit checks

• Ability to maintain strict confidence with all sensitive and confidential information

• Work in a Safety Sensitive environment

• Able to work overtime as required

• Backup to HR Clerk

• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

REQUIRED:

High school diploma or GED

PREFERRED:

• 1+ years' Administrative and accrual accounting experience

• Bilingual English/Spanish

• Microsoft Office including Excel and Powerpoint

• Detail-oriented individuals with a basic understanding of accrual accounting preferred

Physical Demands

Typical physical demands are required to perform the work, such as frequent walking, standing, bending, and/or carrying of light items (up to 25 pounds)

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work extended/alternate shifts as needed for projects

• Required to stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, kneel, crouch or crawl

• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus

• Ability to hear safety horns, PIE horns, pre-shift announcements/safety messages and pages

• Ability to work in a Safety Sensitive environment (heavy PIE traffic throughout the distribution center); moving conveyors, heights; maintain awareness of surroundings at all times and quick reaction time to hazardous conditions are necessary
