Women, Infants & Children (WIC) is a federally funded state program offering support to pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women with children up to age 5. WIC helps pregnant women be as healthy as possible during pregnancy, providing nutritional advice and vouchers to purchase healthy foods. We encourage breastfeeding as the healthiest option for babies and provide breastfeeding peer counseling and support to mothers who choose to breastfeed.
Meeting Street supports over 1000 families annually in the Providence area operating in two locations, at our main building on Eddy Street and at St. Joseph's Health Center.
About this Role:
This is a part-time position working twenty (20) hours weekly:
Our WIC Clerks provide customer service and administrative support to our WIC Clinic. They are responsible for executing intake activities for families, including measure height, weight and hemoglobin measurements of clients, and submitting eligibility paperwork.
They will provide excellent customer service for all guests, incoming phone calls, and responses to email or fax. They are responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments, and maintaining client records and certification paperwork accurately.

1+ year experience in customer facing service and administrative roles required
1+ year experience working for a human services organization preferred
