The Boulder County Office of Sustainability, Climate Action and Resilience ("OSCAR"),is seeking to hire a Bilingual Energy Advisor. The role of the Bilingual Energy Advisor position is focused on programmatic support for Boulder County's sustainability programs with the goal of increasing sustainability outcomes in Boulder County. This position sits in the Built Environment Decarbonization team, working on achieving the county's greenhouse gas reduction goals in residential and commercial buildings. Large scale systems change, equity, and community engagement are OSCAR's three priorities. Within those priorities, the current emphasis is on increasing the adoption of beneficial electrification technologies, such as heat pumps. It is anticipated that much of the work of this position will be on supporting the building electrification efforts of the residential EnergySmart program, particularly for low-income and historically and currently marginalized households. Boulder County is also committed to racial equity and social justice and as such an emphasis will be placed on supporting programming with and for historically marginalized populations.
This is a full-time, benefitedposition.This position will work Monday
Friday 8:00am
4:30pm with flexible hours. This position will work out of 2020 13th St.Boulder, Colorado. This position is hybrid with current expectations of at leasttwo days a week in office. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $67,032.00 - $81,768.00 Annually

Examples of Duties
Plays a supportive role for sustainability, climate action and resilience staff members helping with tasks as assigned related to sustainability initiatives Boulder County offers
Speaks with members of the of the public to support sustainability initiatives
Develops outreach and education tools to engage Boulder County residents and businesses, developing and distributing materials related to sustainability programs
Researches various programmatic initiatives for sustainability, resilience, and climate action services
Represents the county at relevant meetings, conferences, fairs, and events, including presenting information regarding county sustainability programs
Promotes, schedules, and presents on public engagement efforts like EnergySmart's Do It Yourself manufactured home energy efficiency program and induction lending program
Assists with the development of marketing materials for sustainability programs
Performs related work, as required
May be reassigned during emergency situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of 4 yearsof combined education and experience. This can include related professional experience, degrees in marketing, communications, environmental sciences, renewable resources, environmental policy or management, or related fields.
