Position Overview

Autodesk is seeing a highly motivated & talented Big Data QA engineer to provide quality engineering for Marketing Automation platform. This role will build and automate test suites to ensure the functionalities, standard compliance, correctness, performance of the features built by the team and make sure they work as expected.

This role will also build and automate test suites to make sure our scripts & workflows work well in commonly used in integrated environment. In addition, this role will build stress tests and fault tolerance tests to identify bugs and improvement areas for data pipe lines. The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of QA processes in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of big-data processing, analytical results and reporting

  • Identify, isolate & document defects and inconsistencies in data sources and products

  • Perform workflows and test cases, documenting results and unresolved issues

  • Document, track, and communicate test results, analysis, and unresolved problems

  • Maintain involvement throughout the development cycle for defects, features and improvements providing timely support as required

  • Problem solving and root cause analysis

  • Have experience in enterprise scale testing frameworks

  • Own the quality of every release into production

  • Design, implement and execute manual and automated test cases

  • Help establish quality metrics fir QA team and help the team reach the goals

  • Document and enforce best practices in both the test and development -teams

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and maintainable automated-testing frameworks; select best tools; and own responsibility for overall test strategy and implementation

  • Develop code, scripts and utilities for use by the Test Automation team

  • Experience in creating & running automated test suites

  • Design test processes and procedures used to ensure that software operates within defined requirements

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases

  • Implement test plans, automation, and validation strategies

  • Work closely with software developers and business analysts to resolve issues

  • Clearly communicate any obstacles to raise awareness and avoid project impediments and overall project timeline disruption

  • Collaborate with Product Owner, Business Analysts and Developers on tasks related to the planning, testing and coordination of release activities

  • Participate in user story creation process through dissection of high-level requirements during team review sessions

  • Responds and communicates efficiently between the business, tech and QA team on projects and to facilitate resolution of user issues as and when necessary

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree

  • 5 years of work experience in IT

  • 2 to 5 years of experience with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud and Salesforce Partner Community

  • Hands on Salesforce System Administration experience

  • Big Data, Hadoop, HIVE - QA

  • Proficient in SQL, ideally previous experience with a Data Warehouse technology and MySQL

  • Creating Test cases to compare Source and Target database systems and check all the transformation rules

  • Experience with automation testing preferred

  • General knowledge of Web applications and Internet architecture

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and solve problems proactively

  • Demonstrate the ability to work systematically and logically to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify root causes, and anticipate implications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Team player with customer focus

  • Clear and effective communications skills

  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

  • Knowledge of testing integrations, end-to-end system processes

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

As a Principal Big Data Engineer, you will help ensure the satisfaction of our consumers of the data by analyzing and translating business and technical requirements into a cloud architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve organizational objectives. As a technical leader within the Marketing Engineering group, you will take ownership of the Marketing architecture for processing and analyzing data across the Platform. Act as subject matter expert on AWS and other cloud providers, responsible for end to end cloud architectures, cloud migrations, SaaS and multi-cloud providers integrations. The ideal candidate will implement a variety of solutions to ingest data into, process data within, and expose data from a Data Lake that enables our data analysts and scientists to explore data in the ad-hoc manner as well as quickly implement data-driven models that generate accurate insights in an automated fashion.
