As a Big Data Engineering Lead, your mission is to provide data architecture and solution for CCBRFT data pipeline. The ideal candidate has a strong background in enterprise data architecture, data management and data governance experiences, deep data domain knowledge in banking industry, hands-on experience in data modeling (UML and/or ER), hands-on experience in designing and developing data driven solutions; excellent communication and presentation skills in front of various stakeholders on executive level. You will work closely with Risk Modelers and data pipeline onboarding teams to support and implement high-quality, data-driven Risk and Finance data solutions. You will own the product roadmap of CCBRFT data inventory, lead and drive CCBRFT DRB (Data Review Board), lead the data model team to ensure data models are of high quality across risk modeling and loss forecast, strategy and decisioning, fraud, and finance areas. Working with CT Central Information Architecture team in the various data management programs (data centric SDLC, boundary sets, and centralized record management program).
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
Proficiency in modern programming languages
Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
5+ years of experience developing enterprise platforms in Python using Big Data tools and technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Impala, Cassandra)
Strong Object Oriented Programming skills (in either Python, Scala or Java)
Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau and/or Qlikview
Experience with modern UI technologies (e.g. AngularJS, React)
Hands-on experience in designing, developing data warehousing systems
Hands-on experience in ERwin or MagicDraw (or any other prevailing data modeling tools
In-depth knowledge in banking industry and specialized in a few products, business capabilities or processes
