Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

As a Big Data Engineer, your job will be to work on our digital advertising products across the entire tech stack. You will work with nosql databases, distributed data processing systems, microservices, message bus/queues, and front-end UIs. Our stack includes React, Java, Python, MySQL, Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Redis, RabbitMQ, InfluxDB, Kubernetes, and many other open source tools.
You will be using your problem solving ability to come up with innovative solutions to real business problems with massive internet-scale data. Your success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination. You will be required to work effectively with your teammates. Requirements
We look for candidates that have most of these
4 years experience with Java/Scala
4 years experience with Spark/Flink
4 years experience with javascript with react/angular/vue
4 years experience with relational databases and nosql/distributed databases, with understanding of tradeoffs
2 years experience with container technologies (docker, kubernetes)
2 experience with devops - CI/CD, metrics, logging, monitoring/alerting
Strong fundamentals including an understanding of data structures (deterministic and probabilistic), concurrency, object-oriented and functional programming
Strong understanding of web architecture, security, cookies, reverse-proxies, REST
Familiar with and using SOLID, DRY, KISS principles
Self-starter you're able to learn new concepts and technologies mostly on your own
BS in Computer Science or related field
