Job Description:

Overview of business area or project: Treasury Business provides the key services to the bank such as funding the bank, measuring the liquidity risk and managing the key liquidity ratios, interfacing the regulators related funding and liquidity risk. The Treasury IT team supports all technology solutions for Treasury and Liquidity Risk businesses.

Overview of department/team: Treasury IT department has teams located at Raleigh, New York, Pune, and Poland.

About 18 resources are located in Raleigh driving the Liquidity Stress calculations and reporting capabilities. The team has recently migrated the Liquidity Stress engine from the legacy Oracle to Big Data. A key development lead will be moving to other business area in January. So, we are trying to find a replacement for that senior Big Data developer

Candidate Value Proposition: It is a very challenging lead developer role that requires hands on experience with design and development of complex risk modules mainly using Scala/Spark programming.

In addition we require experience with other big data software stack such Impala and Kudu. The person should be able to work closely and assist with other big data developers in Raleigh, Poland and Pune.

The candidate will be able to work on very large Hadoop data stores (that grows at around 1 TB per day). So, we require this lead developer to be able to design and develop efficient faster code routines.

We have plans to migrate the Liquidity engine to public cloud during 2021. If approved, this person will also be part of the team working on that migration and other tools such as air flow

Is Work From Home Possible?: Yes. Until the buildings are opened up as per Raleigh site policies
