Bid Specialist

The Bid Specialist is responsible for gathering information and providing administrative support for the proposal writing process. As part of our Bid Support Team, they will prepare responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) in support of the Sales Operations team.

Position Summary

The Bid Specialist is responsible for gathering information and providing administrative support for the proposal writing process. As part of our Bid Support Team, they will prepare responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) in support of the Sales Operations team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop successful timeline strategy for each bid Enter bid to FS Streetsmart (EStreet) Gather pricing information from client Enter pricing information/bid requests results into EStreet Respond timely to requests for bid pricing Maintain spreadsheets and database information as needed Other duties, responsibilities and activities as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

Indirect Reports- Does not have direct reports, but may delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

  • Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job - Travel up to 5%

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience (Preferred): Associate's Degree Or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Business or Sales Operations1-3 Years of experience in in a related field

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of SharePoint Ability to effectively communicate over the phone and through email Superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills Ability to build effective working relationships Creative problem solving and project management skills Excellent critical thinking and analytical ability Unquestionable work ethics, personal integrity and honesty Travel as appropriate

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret written information such as procedure manuals, Company communications or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form Ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time, talk and hear Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds Ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel Ability to work in a normal office environment where the noise level is usually light to moderate Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
