Bike Technician Duties:

  • Create a world-class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and selling through customer engagement, specifically (but not limited to) our Bike Department

  • Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation of the best apparel and equipment brands in sporting goods

  • Demonstrate ability to genuinely interact with customers to show passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their sport or activity

  • Promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and other seasonal promotions

  • Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise

  • Bike building, repair and service

  • As business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary

As a Service Technician, you will perform all warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work bumper to bumper. Customer satisfaction is a result of your personal work habits and ethics and is of utmost importance as part of your job. You will ensure customer satisfaction by completing the job correctly, cleanly, honestly, and on time for every service visit. In addition, you will be responsible for setting goals for personal service improvement and for monitoring progress against customer satisfaction index numbers and production numbers as provided by the Service Manager. The ideal candidate must have at least three years of vehicle-servicing experience, a valid driver's license and clean driving record, excellent customer service skills, and good computer skills. He or she must be able to drive both standard and automatic vehicles. RESPONSIBILITIES * Performs all warranty and non-warranty inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work * Completes each and every job correctly, cleanly, honestly, and on time to ensure customer satisfaction * Set goals for personal service improvement and monitors progress against customer satisfaction index numbers and production numbers as provided by the Service Manager * Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards * Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required * Performs other duties as assigned * Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.
