Overview

As the Tableau BI Program Manager at Western Asset, you will be the key point of contact for our users including stakeholders from the trading desk, operational, and technology areas in addition to overseeing dedicated tableau developers. The role requires someone who is high-energy, driven, user-focused and aware of the needs for each unique stakeholder group. This position is responsible for the ongoing development and management of a Tableau reporting portfolio as well as driving internal customer adoption by focusing on customer success and building user champions within functional areas of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic direction of Tableau BI Program, including management of dedicated group of Tableau developers and creating impactful analytics on behalf of the enterprise.

  • Coordinate with business users to identify and prioritize reporting needs and the capability to deliver through Tableau; provide technical subject matter expertise in report requirements discussions

  • Promote adoption of Tableau to new and current users by showing the benefits of Tableau to each engaged stakeholder group

  • Develop and manage sanctioned data sources on behalf of business users and enterprise reporting

  • Oversee the user onboarding process to the Tableau platform

  • Teach business users the mechanics of using Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and prepping their data for visual analytics

  • Deliver Tableau training to business users as required and address ongoing functionality questions

  • Share and define best practices for Tableau performance and building visualizations within Western Asset

  • Actively manage developed content and help to improve them based on delivery experience and iterative insights

  • Monitor and evaluate BI program's effectiveness, success and ROI

  • Assist in the mentoring of users and dedicated developers as the BI program matures

  • Support users when issues arise that require a technical understanding of Tableau performance and functionality

  • Work with the Tableau community within Western Asset to problem solve and facilitate additional ways of using Tableau dashboards to improve workflow and efficiencies

Technical Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of technical software project/program management with a focus on business intelligence and data management.

  • In-depth knowledge and use of Tableau products with a solid knowledge of the Business Intelligence organizational concepts and data visualization best practices

  • A Bachelor's degree is required with a technical or business focus preferred (e.g. Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management)

  • General knowledge of databases, data warehouses, ETL, data management, and reporting practices

  • Knowledge of Oracle and/or SQL Server in addition to modern data platforms including in-memory databases

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively

  • Track record in designing and executing successful reporting and adoption programs

  • Ideal candidate is Tableau certified; PMP or Certified Scrum Master a plus.

  • Knowledge of advanced analytics including machine learning a plus.

  • Knowledge of capital markets and/or fixed income a plus

Qualifications

Minimum BSc degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering or other related field.

VIEW JOBS 11/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-01T00:00 Job Description: The EISOC PM is responsible for programmatic, operational, financial, and customer relationship success of Bastion's JPL Engineering, Implementation, Science, Operations, and Communications (EISOC) contract. In this role, the PM will lead the Bastion program/EISOC team and successfully execute the program and be actively engaged in the EISOC competitive process. The PM will be responsible for the execution of the concept of operations; establishing and building strong customer relationships, leading the collaboration across functional organizations and subcontractors to ensure program success. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Managing program risks and opportunities, program milestones achieved through adherence to program master plans and schedules. * Developing/executing corrective action plans to mitigate internal or customer identified issues. * Delivering effective control systems and reporting for accurately processing change and controlling in-scope performance of program functional task elements such as operations, engineering, test, procurement, quality control, logistics, safety, security, and administrative functions. * Working closely with and building relationships with the JPL and the NASA customer community. * Meeting financial goals supporting the program's budget targets * Participating in developing of future strategies for out - year JPL acquisitions. * Driving on-contract growth goals as established by the Director of Operations. Required Skills: * Must be a US citizen * Must be able to pass a national agency check * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening * At least 12+ years' experience managing mid to large size operations organizations. * Bachelor's degree from accredited university in a technical or business discipline including Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Physics, Business Management, or equivalent experience. * Ability to obtain a secret security clearance * Extensive knowledge of JPL and NASA organizations. * Demonstrated experience establishing teaming relationships/partnerships and oversight of subcontractors. * Prior proposal/acquisition experience for mid to large programs and understanding of the JPL and NASA procurement process. * Experience reporting performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) like tools/processes. * Understanding of Risk and Opportunity management processes. * Understanding of program financial and business processes and metrics. * Demonstrated experience in strategic planning. * Demonstrated success building relationships with customers and teammates.
