Job Title: Senior BI Developer with EPIC
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: Long term contract
Note: Don't need to have the Clarity certificate. They can have any of the Epic certificates
Must have Epic certificates for the Clarity data models. Very strong SQL, must have Epic Clarity Certifications. Someone that can jump in and start wiring SQL reports against the Epic data. Open on pay and bill rate. We just need to find someone that has the skills/certification. Will be located in Castleton.
The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for identifying, designing, developing, distributing, and maintaining the advanced data and analytics reporting needs of the network. They serve as a resource and mentor to other team members often taking on larger and more complex projects. This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience in BI development, analytics and data presentation/visualization. Must have extensive SQL development skills and understand the concepts of various databased management systems models. The ideal candidate is customer focused, creative, and has excellent analysis, problem solving, and communication skills. This professional will lead and/or participate in gathering and translating business analytics requirements into BI technical solutions. This position works collaboratively with IT members, vendors, and business unit management/staff on a regular basis so advanced business analytics can be applied to improve patient care, operations, or financial outcomes. May be responsible for designing, configuring, debugging, and troubleshooting Community Health Networks various data warehouse platforms and applications.
4+ years of experience in BI development, analytics and data presentation.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server technology stack (e.g. SSAS, SSIS, SSRS & SPROC)
Experiences preferred: Healthcare
Experiences considered a plus: Oracle SQL, Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), Data warehouse, SAP BusinessObjects & Crystal Reports, QlikView, Qlik Sense, MS Power BI.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related business field, strongly preferred.
4+ years using BI best practices, methodologies, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, and data warehouse and reporting techniques
Proficient in MS SQL Server using T-SQL, writing Stored Procedures, and demonstrated experience with report writing tools
Knowledge of SQL to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data
Proficient in one or more of the following: Microsoft Business Intelligence, Oracle Business Intelligence, Tableau, Hadoop, Qlik, Microsoft BI, or SAP Business Objects platforms
Experience with OLAP/MOLAP/ROLAP/HOLAP technology and BI development
Experience or knowledge of OLTP technology
Knowledge of ETL and data warehouse concepts and processes
Should have experience with source code control and have a strong understanding of concepts and the ability to reverse engineer reports
Knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Proven ability to be flexible and motivated, and to work well both independently, and in a team environment, in a high pressure environment with changing priorities
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, be flexible and manage multiple projects
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Experience in creating IT documents for knowledge base, user guides, and other various communications systems
Knowledge of healthcare application data sources and data analysis cores (Utilization, HEDIS, Patient Risk Stratification, Medical Risk Adjustment/HCC Management, Clinical Access) a plus
Experience with agile software development is a plus

Ensure all software development strictly follows our reporting departments development style, documentation requirements, and change control processes.
Demonstrates proficiency and maintains current and up-to-date skills and knowledge in the use and application of all available reporting tools that enhance performance and optimize productivity.
Actively participates in Data Operating System updates by reviewing and evaluating release notes with team members, updating and testing necessary reports and/or reporting tools, and works with vendor for any necessary issues or clarifications that may arise.
Demonstrates a solid understanding of project management methodologies. Actively participates in project initiatives. May serve as a technical lead on small, large, or complex projects. Ensures project deliverables meet or exceeds an on time delivery of 80%.
Troubleshoot problems and questions from customers, peers, and vendors, using Community Health Network relationship development principles and always maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Responsible for monitoring incident tickets in team queue and meeting or exceeding service level expectations for incident ticket response and resolution.
Must have existing certification in one of the defined larger data models or two or more of the defined smaller data models within relational and non-relational databases (e.g. Epic certification in Ambulatory/Billing/ Inpatient or Epic Clarity & Data Warehouse Administration).
