Elavon is seeking a technically savvy Business Intelligence Analyst that will leverage and build advanced data based modeling to drive a deeper understanding of business trends. Work closely with team members and other teams within Elavon to create a unified understanding and message. The Analyst, will be responsible for monitoring and helping drive performance of specific Elavon business lines, including our customer Management team, eCommerce, Integrated Payment Partner and Payment Facilitator.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understands the business priorities, strategy, and planning for their assigned stakeholders

  • Takes deep dives into organizational questions or problems

  • Builds queries and designs reporting that help drive analytics

  • Delivers weekly performance and insights for the assigned stakeholders and their teams

  • Helps facilitate the delivery of actionable and measurable insights that drive business for the organization

  • Serves as the gatekeeper of all BI requests/initiatives and manages and reports status, risks, and opportunities on a weekly basis to the stakeholders and BI team

  • Works closely in conjunction with other BI team members to gather requirement


  • BA or BS in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems degree or related graduate coursework.

  • Minimum 5 years data extraction for analysis, using SQL to build queries and automate processes

  • Experienced and proficient in SaS or R

  • Ability to manipulate large data sets

  • Ability to articulate how data and analysis relates to KPIs and managing business

  • Tableau dashboard development

  • Highly organized and ability to work on multiple projects at once

  • Effective communication skills in relating complicated subject manner to senior management

  • Appreciation of cross-LOB/functional issues

  • Understanding of what can be improved by better data and analysis

  • Ability to navigate, extract, explore, qualify, and analyze diverse internal and external data

  • Ability to provide stewardship/ evangelism to drive standardization, adoption, and acceptance on an ongoing basis

  • Proven background of prioritizing projects/requirements with a link to business impact

  • Develop standards for best practices for reporting

  • Ability to self-govern BI content and analytic environment

  • Identify trends using BI tools

  • A knack for problem solving

  • Ability to train and educate others

  • Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users
