Performs reporting and analytical duties in order to generate the Business Intelligence
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Develops business analyses including but not limited to these subject areas:
Cost Analysis
Enrollment growth
Bed Days
Authorization Referrals
Provides ongoing technical support for library of Crystal reports, including the IDM report library.
Uses skill set specific to reporting technologies (such as Visual Basic, SQL & Access expertise) to develop and maintain database solutions.
Produces periodic and ad hoc reporting in key areas of the business such as bed days utilization to provide ongoing management metrics for administrative team.
Participates in the production of reports needed to prepare PCP utilization information, including VP, Exclusivity & PCP booklets.
Calculates provider incentives/bonuses based on utilization metrics, such as the P4P bonus program, VP & Exclusivity.
As needed, performs the monthly capitation run, including a pre-cap run eligibility reconciliation.
Makes an effort to discern the intent of the report requestor, and uses expertise and experience to deliver a solution which satisfies that intent
Take part in process improvement of reporting development and delivery.
Notifies management of opportunities for areas of operational improvement within the organization.
Works with the Data management department to identity data integrity issues, and recommend solutions, as appropriate.
Provides training in technical expertise, such as advanced Excel functions, to users in Finance and other departments, as needed.
Education and / or Experience:
A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or appropriate industry experience.
Self managed and motivated, results driven
Ability to develop and communicate analytic results to support business questions.
Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills.
Ability to present to large groups
In-depth knowledge of Health Care information
Experience in report technologies, such Crystal reports, SQL, VB, MS Access, Excel.
Knowledge & experience in the field of relational database theory, including structures, relationships, queries and functions.
Expertise in development and delivery of data and reporting information using MS SQL 2005/2000.
Works in a collaborative manner and approach to projects. .
Experience with medical management applications, such as Access Express, or NextGen, desired.
