Job Description:

The staff occupational therapist shall evaluate and treat patients; develop a treatment

plan; and set goals for patients. Patient and family education is included in the treatment plan and

goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Complete documentation according to applicable national and state regulations as

• well as hospital and departmental policies.

• Assist with the education of affiliating students, the department staff, hospital staff, and the community at large.

• Delegate to and supervise Occupational Therapist assistants and technicians.

• The therapist will participate in departmental operational plan.

• Intervene appropriately and meet the needs of the patients with impaired mental abilities, vision, hearing or mobility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a school of Occupational Therapy

• LSVT BIG certification preferred.

• Current License by the Kentucky State Board of Occupational Therapy
