As a Community Outreach Specialist, you will play a crucial role in achieving these goals, making you an integral part of our team.

The purpose of the Community Outreach Specialist in CSC's Behavioral Health Department:

Actively engage and educate the community about our non-grant-driven Mental Health therapies and modalities, substance abuse treatments, and other well-being group and individual support services and programs for clients of all ages in the communities we serve.

As a(n) Community Outreach Specialist at CSC, You Will:

  • Develop and implement outreach strategies by organizing virtual workshops, events, and education/ training programs to increase community awareness about our behavioral health department's Mental Health therapies and modalities, substance abuse treatments, and other well-being group and individual support services and programs for clients of all ages in the communities we serve.
  • Write content pieces, press releases, announcements, and newsletters to inform internal staff and the public about BHD's projects, services, and upcoming events.
  • Conduct supportive group programs under clinical supervision if applicable.
  • Draft and submit reports, presentations, and pitches for related projects.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, public health, or two years in a related field and Marketing or Communications Degree is strongly prefered.
  • Experience using creative platforms for community engagement, such as design, art, photography, or video.
  • Experience producing deliverables for various audiences, including but not limited to reports, presentations, and blogs.
  • Comfortable and knowledgeable about the healthcare or behavioral health industry.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships and actively contribute as a member of working teams to achieve results
  • Must be customer service-minded in the interaction, planning, and execution of all projects
