  • Utilizing evidence-based practice, determine appropriate therapeutic modality for each client (e.g., Parent-Child Relationship Therapy, Play-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, etc.)

  • Provide appropriate therapy to clients

  • Regularly evaluate the progress of therapy and incorporate changes as indicated

  • Fully document all therapeutic interventions

  • Administer, score, and interpret appropriate standardized assessment instruments for children

  • Produce assessment reports that address bio-psycho-social issues and include an analysis and synthesis of all information gathered during the assessment process as well as recommendations for treatment.

  • Utilize DC 0-3R to provide diagnoses or diagnostic impressions for children aged birth to three

  • Utilize DSM-V TR to provide diagnoses or diagnostic impressions for young children

  • Attend and participate in required staff meetings and

  • Provide testimony in court, as required

  • Responsible for meeting productivity and documentation requirements set by the supervisor

  • Experience working with young children and their families helpful

  • Provide and Maintain Valid Arizona Drivers License, Registration & Insurance

  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times

  • Current CPR and First Aide Certification

  • Clean criminal background check

  • Get up and down from the floor when providing therapy with infants, toddlers, children and families

  • Stoop, bend, walk, reach, run, jump, jog

  • Move up and down from floor

  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds

  • Push and Pull with 25 pounds force

  • Move quickly around people and/or objects

  • Able to climb stairs

  • Step up and down

VIEW JOBS 3/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-15T00:00 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing assessment and treatment to individuals and families through individual and group therapy, rehabilitation, and support services to children, young adults and adults. Some of the populations served may include: children with general mental illness, teens with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, adults with general mental illness, and adults with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The clinician will work with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of medical professionals and other master’s level clinicians. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Independently Licensed in Arizona as a LPC/LMSW/LCSW/MFT preferred. * No fewer than 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinical setting conducting individual and group therapy with children, adults and families * Experience in the diagnosis and treatment of addiction and substance use disorders. * Experience understanding various evidence-based models and theories pertaining to psycho-education, cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, illness management and recovery, peer support and trauma-informed care * Understanding of culturally and ethnically diverse clients and families * Knowledge of community resources * Effective communication and written skills * Proficiency with computer programs and databases * Bilingual English and Spanish preferred * Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate valid Arizona Driver’s License. * Fingerprint clearance required * Must pass pre-employment drug screening CPI is an equal opportunity employer.
