Demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in the provision of a range of therapeutic services, psychoeducational programming and behavioral interventions to assist the client in achieving progress towards the goals and objectives of the individualized treatment plans. Reports to Director.
Clinical Independence. Provides case management. Provides documentation and performs administrative functions appropriate to clinical role.
Adheres to Inova's Culture of Safety. Participates in maintaining a Professional Culture in Inova Behavioral Health.
Position is to be part of a DBT treatment team in an outpatient setting. Training will be included with the position, and the team will be trained in full fidelity DBT-A (adolescents). Must desire a willingness to work with the population that is appropriate for DBT.
Therapist will provide individual, family and group therapy along with phone coaching. Other responsibilities include individual, family and group therapy for children and adolescents using appropriate modalities as part of the general outpatient services.
Experience For the Kellar Center: Experience with working with children and families.
Required: 5 years in addiction treatment/ mental health treatment
Preferred: 7 years in addiction treatment/ mental health treatment
Required: Master's Degree or PhD in mental health, social sciences, or behavioral health related field.
Certification-Eligible for Clinical supervision at time of hire- After accepting position: BLS obtained in 3 Months & CPI obtained in 6 months
Licensed in the Common Wealth of Virginia
Must have one of the following:Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSAP)
