BGS Maintenance Mechanic I

Overview

Buildings and General Services (BGS) at the State of Vermont has an exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Mechanic I. This position has a well-defined career ladder within BGS.

As part of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team you will work as part of a group and independently. This position serves the Capital District in Montpelier, which includes the state house and many historic buildings. The Maintenance Mechanic I will work primarily on grounds and outdoor maintenance. This position will also be asked to assist with other duties as assigned including but not limited to; electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and lock repair.

This is a full-time position, and the hours are 6am to 2:30pm. The position requires a valid driver's license and succesful completion of a background check.
