BlueForce Inc. is seeking Injury Risk Reduction and Recovery Specialists in Brunswick, GA.
The Injury Risk Reduction and Recovery Specialist shall provide expert guidance to develop a physical training and injury prevention program to complement and enhance existing training courses. The contractor's subject matter expertise will assist in developing innovative training techniques, maximize use of the most up to date practices to improve resilience, development and support among personnel and provide medical trainer services.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide qualified instruction to employees on physical conditioning, injury prevention, and general health.
Assist in developing standard operating procedures, guidelines, and exercise protocols including the safe use of strength and conditioning equipment.
Provide expert advice and consultation to support the readiness and wellness program.
Coordinate individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs to ensure the safe and expeditious return to training for individuals recovering from injury.
Evaluate personnel with apparent new or undiagnosed medical conditions and suggest appropriate solutions to address them.
Participate in periodic meetings to review and evaluate physical training programs and associated curriculum and identify opportunities for improvement.
Conduct research on and implement new technology that will enhance program and personnel capabilities.
Attend required training to complete continuing education requirements or to maintain professional certifications.
Perform administrative duties, such as data collection and analysis, records maintenance, and documentation, writing reports, conducting, or participating in education programs, and participating in staff quality assurance functions.
Maintain relevant supply inventories and provide input regarding supply needs.
Ensure that equipment and facilities are properly organized, utilized and are in safe working condition.
Provide expert guidance to foster an agency-wide culture focusing on health, fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness.
Perform other tasks, within the scope of the position description, as assigned by leadership.
Travel as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education related discipline.
Currently certified as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association
Currently certified as a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Currently certified in Cardiovascular Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training
Experience
Five or more years of specialized experience, which includes sustained experience developing short and long-term sport or mission-specific performance programs resulting in attributable success for elite athlete populations (i.e., Division I collegiate, Olympic, professional level, or military SOF tactical professionals).
Specific knowledge and experience in the use of state-of-the-art computer-based software and other instructional/evaluative material, modern and highly specialized strength and conditioning equipment, and training aids and devices applicable to program objectives.
Candidates should possess strong program and project management skills with an emphasis on human performance metrics.
Performance
Complete and pass a Physical Efficiency Battery fitness test
Be physically capable of lift, pushing and dragging 100 pounds.
Be capable to respond all phone calls/emails for assistance from students and instructors within 24 hours.
