Sales Representative
Sales Representatives are a key component to the success of Zip Beverage and customer satisfaction.
The Sales Representative's goal is to maximize selling potential, customer service, and account
relationships. This individual is responsible for sales volume, distribution, programming, and planning
efforts for accounts within the assigned sales territory. Individuals must identify business opportunities
to promote company products and develop plans to execute with their team members while
maintaining Zip Beverage's high level of customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
● Create accurate orders for retail accounts on specified sales route
● Promote the success of the delivery and merchandising team by communicating clear direction
on how to achieve goals
● Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal guidelines, Wholesaler Equity Agreement,
and standards and policies from our suppliers
● Develop and maintain retail account relationships
● Manage the collection of money for all invoices within Zip Beverage's specified AR terms and
state law
● Respond, investigate, and resolve retailer questions and concerns in a professional and timely
manner
● Maximize the sale of Anheuser-Busch and Zip Beverage portfolios and brands by increasing
distribution, shelf space, and displays, securing price points, draught taps, merchandising, etc.
● Maintain regular call frequency on all assigned retail accounts to meet sales obligations and
customer needs
● Ensure all assigned retail accounts have published freshness standards, and are in line with
monthly Finish Product Loss (FPL) budget
● Sustain proper inventory levels at retail accounts to prevent out-of-stock or over-stocked
product
● Work with all departments to resolve customer service issues (e.g. credit/collection, deliveries,
etc.)
● Attend sales/team meetings as directed by management along with daily check-in with
manager to discuss sales questions or issues, competitive activities, opportunities to maximize
sales efforts, and other miscellaneous items that arise.
● Participate in evening and weekend promotions as necessary
● Learn and use all elements of the structured sales process during account calls
● Understand Anheuser-Busch Edge Objectives and other pertinent A-B programs and initiatives.
● Review Sales rep monthly PFP and execute where applicable
● Other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management when necessary
Qualifications
● Three years of experience in consumer package industry sales preferred
● Familiar with retail trade and space management activities
● High level of computer skills
● Sales/Key Account experience preferred
● High school diploma or GED certificate required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
● Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license and safe driving record
● Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to set priorities and coordinate
multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy
● Strong selling and negotiation skills
● Proficient in Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
● Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Skilled in customer service and working in a team environment
● Able to understand and read invoices, load sheets, job orders, installation instructions, and
calculate simple math functions
● Ability to move products weighing up to 165 pounds, hang merchandise, and fulfill other
physical requirements including: repetitive lifting (up to 50 pounds overhead), bending,
pulling/pushing (including Push/pull up to 340 pounds on a two-wheeler)
