Basic Job Functions
Prepares and serves food to park guests, cleans facilities, operates kitchen equipment and cash registers, and serve alcohol.
Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment at Aquatica San Diego by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
Serves beer and wine in compliance with Alcohol training, company policy and CA state laws.
Appropriate service and restriction as necessary of alcoholic beverages per training and policy guidelines.
Takes food orders from guests.
Operates heating and cooling elements, food and beverage machines, and dish machines.
Prepares and serves a high volume of meals.
Handles raw and cooked food.
Sets up food displays and restocks when necessary.
Stocks shelves with paper products and food products.
Suggestively sells items to team members and guests.
Maintains area cleanliness throughout all Culinary facilities to include tables, trash and patios.
Washes and dries dishes and utensils and ensures proper sanitation standards are met.
Ensures excellent guest service by responding to guest requirements, expectations, and needs.
Occasionally assist other locations and areas throughout the park as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Knowledge, Training and Education
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and follow recipes.
Handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced team environment.
Works weekends, holidays, early mornings and late evenings.
Pass Food Handlers training program and receive Food Handler's Card.
Able to positively interact with park guests and other team members of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.
Must be able to pass Alcohol training within 30 days of hire.
Ability to stoop, push, pull, bend, crawl, kneel and squat.
Stationary standing and repetitive motion for 2-3 hours at a time.
Must be able to frequently lift and or move up to 55 pounds.
Regularly use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, handle, feel, taste and smell.
Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Work with hot and/or heavy items.
Work indoors and in outside weather conditions (i.e., sunny, wet and/or humid conditions).
All Culinary Operations ambassadors must have an Hepatitis A immunization. If proof is not provided, free immunizations will be administered by SeaWorld medical team.
Varied shifts to include weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings.
Must have at least 1 day of unrestricted availability, to include one weekend day. During the peak season (Summer) you must have at least 4 days of unrestricted availability to include one weekend day.
