OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE
This position is primarily responsible for benefits administration, enrollments/terminations, as well as billing and reconciliation. This role also has backup responsibilities to the payroll function.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
Working knowledge of all benefits plans
Manage group benefit programs including: medical, dental, COBRA, disability, life, vision, supplemental products, FSA, ACA
Stay up-to-date and in compliance with ACA and other benefits and payroll requirements and best practices
Manage group insurance Open Enrollment process-data analysis, system set-up, employee communication
Back up for biweekly and monthly payroll processing for multiple locations; 401k reconciliation for Finance & Accounting; payroll records, deductions, tax and banking details
Develop and facilitate benefits/payroll training
Prepare weekly, monthly and yearly reports as needed
Assist employees with routine benefits and payroll inquiries ensuring timely and courteous resolution
Participate in the new hire process by inputting information into the HRIS
Serve as back-up for ECS system management and CBSU training support as needed
Work with Employee Events Committee responsible for suggesting and planning all corporate employee relations events and activities
Continuously seeks new ways to improve processes
Other duties/projects as assigned
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years benefits experience required. Payroll processing experience required. Understanding of state and federal regulations related to employee wages and benefits preferred.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and credibility required. Understanding of payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now (or similar). Excellent interpersonal skills and team-oriented.
